The Pike-Amite-Walthall Library System invited children and their parents to attend a Christmas Soiree. Miss Laura and Miss Mattie led the children in Story Hour songs and Christmas carols. Next, Miss Laura read Scooter Mouse Finds Christmas. Then the children had their pictures taken with Santa Clause and created gifts for local nursing home residents. Finally, each family received a copy of Scooter Mouse Finds Christmas. The event was funded through a grant from the Mississippi Early Childhood Association.
